Únete a esta tradición de Cuaresma y visita siete iglesias el Jueves Santo, lo que te dará la oportunidad de recordar las siete paradas de Jesucristo a lo largo de la Vía Dolorosa.

Also known as “Visita Iglesia,” the visitation to seven churches on the evening of Holy Thursday dates back to the 16th century,
originating in Rome with St. Philip Neri.

The pilgrimage encompasses the seven Roman basilicas: St. John Lateran, St. Peter’s, St. Mary Major, St. Paul-Outside-the-Walls, St. Sebastian,
Santa Croce-in-Jerusalem and St. Lawrence-Outside-the-Walls.

Tras la Misa de la Cena del Señor el jueves por la noche, el Santísimo Sacramento se reserva en un altar de reposo para la adoración.

During the pilgrimage, the faithful visit several churches – sometimes seven, or whatever number is possible – to pray before the Blessed Sacrament in each church, remembering Our Lord’s words to His disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane to keep watch with Him for one hour.

• St. John Neumann, 68451 Idlewild Rd, Charlotte: After 7 p.m. Mass to midnight in the Parish Hall
• Iglesia de San Lucas Mint Hill, 9800 Fairview Rd, Charlotte: de 8:15 a 22:00.
• St. Matthew, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy.: 8:00 - 10:30 p. m. en el gimnasio del Centro Parroquial
• Catedral de San Patricio, 1621 Dilworth Road East, Charlotte: de 20:00 a 24:00 en el gran salón del Centro de Vida Familiar.
• Iglesia de Santo Tomás de Aquino, 1400 Suther Road, Charlotte: de 21:00 a 24:00 en el Salón de Aquino.
