Consecration to Jesus through Mary

You and your family are invited to St Mark’s parish wide consecration to Jesus through Mary.  The 33 day preparation begins Saturday, September 4^th, 2021.

Bilingual Mass and consecration ceremony will be in the church on Wednesday, Oct 13^th at the 6:30 pm Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, which is Oct 7^th.

There will be an informational meeting on Monday August 30^th at 7 pm in Rm 200

There are different ways to do the preparation for the consecration. The two books more widely used are:

The book written by Saint Louis Grignon de Montfort in the XVIII century: Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary. It consists of 12 preliminary days in which the soul empties itself of the spirit of the world. This is followed by three weeks of prayer and meditations in which our souls will focus on trying to understand ourselves and our sins (first week), getting to know and better understand the Blessed Virgin Mary (second week), and getting to know and better understand Jesus Christ (third week). 

The book 33 Days to Morning Glory was written in 2011, by Father Michael Gaitley. Since this book is more contemporary, for many it is easier to follow and understand than St Montfort’s book. This preparation is divided into 4 weeks and in each week there are readings and brief reflections based on 4 great Marian saints. Although optional, it is highly recommended to pray a daily rosary during the 33 day preparation (and beyond).

Consagración a Jesús a través de María

Ud y su famila están invitados a la próxima consagración a Jesús a través de María en nuestra parroquia.  La preparación de 33 dias comienza el sábado, 4 de septiembre, 2021

La Misa y Ceremonia Bilingüe de la Consagración será a las 6:30 pm en la Iglesia de San Marcos el miércoles 13 de Octubre,2021.

Tendremos una reunion informativa el lunes 30 de Agosto a las 8 pm en el salon 200.

Existen varias maneras de hacer la preparación para la consagración. Los dos libros mas usados son: 

El libro original escrito por San Luis G de Montfort en el siglo XVIII: Preparación para la Consagración Total A Jesús por María. Consiste en doce días preliminares para que el alma trate de vaciarse del espíritu del mundo. Luego siguen tres semanas de oración y meditación, durante las cuales el alma buscará un mejor conocimiento de si misma (1era semana) de María (2da semana) y de Jesucristo (3 era semana).



El libro 33 dias Hacia Un Glorioso Amanecer escrito en el 2011 por el Padre Michael Gaitley. Como su publicación es mas actualizada, para muchos es mas facil de seguir y entender que la del libro de San Luis de Montfort. Esta preparación consiste en una lectura diaria y una breve reflexión. Se recomienda, rezar un rosario diario también, pero es opcional.
