SAFE ENVIRONMENT

Safe Environment Requirements for ALL Volunteers

The Diocese of Charlotte’s Safe Environment program is undergoing some exciting changes over the coming weeks. As a result, we are temporarily pausing acceptance of any new volunteers as well as blocking existing volunteers from accessing their account in Virtus. This will enable us to complete the work necessary behind the scenes to launch the new program.

If you are already a registered volunteer, you will receive an email in the next few weeks with an explanation of the changes and further instructions to continue as a volunteer. For now, you are free to continue to volunteer during this transition.

If you are looking to register as a first-time volunteer, please check the Bulletin for updated information over the next month.  We will publish information as it becomes available.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at St. Mark Catholic Church.
We would love for you to become an active volunteer of our community!

"In compliance with the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, the Diocese of Charlotte has established policies and procedures for all employees and volunteers. These procedures require Protecting God’s Children Certification, Background Checks, Volunteer Profiles and Code of Ethics and Sexual Misconduct to be signed by anyone who is providing services to children, the sick, the disabled, or the elderly." – Fr. John Putnam
