Grow in Christ at Home

Grow in Christ at Home with your Family

Dear Saint Mark Parish Family,

We all know that these are difficult, trying times that we are going through right now. Many of us are worried about family and friends, financial concerns, our children, the economy, etc. One thing that we do know and take comfort in, is that God is in charge. He already knows the outcome of all of this, and He has our well-being always at the forefront of His mind (Jeremiah 29:11).

As a parish staff, we want you to know that even while we may not be physically present in the office, we are still here for you. We are here in any way that you need us, and we want to be able to support you in this uncertain time.

We have put together resources that you can find below on how to stay connected and grow in your faith from your home and with your families. We encourage you to check them out and to also let us know if there is something that you need that we can find for you or help you with.

The priests and the staff of Saint Mark are constantly in prayer for you and hope that you will reach out with anything that we can do for you. Know that the Lord is always with us, wherever we may be, and He is offering His love and His peace. May we turn to Him with all of our hearts.

Blessings,

Dear Parish Family,

God's peace be with you during this difficult time. I know many of you are suffering from fear and anxiety amidst the Coronavirus pandemic and the economic repercussions it has caused. One of the great sadnesses for me personally is being separated from you - my flock - during this societal lockdown. Not being able to fully care for your spiritual needs leaves us, priests, feeling empty and anxious.

Thankfully, a small blessing has found its way to our parish. TAN Books, a Catholic publisher based in North Carolina and someone we have done business with in the past, has graciously offered to supply us with a host of books covering various spiritual topics, and perfect to keep your Faith strong and engaged during this difficult time, all at a discounted rate of 30% off.

Additionally, 30% of all sales from our parish will be sent back to us as a donation.

Simply go to their website, www.tanbooks.com, and use the code MARK28078 at checkout to receive the discount. This is a great way to make a donation to our parish and receive something of great spiritual value in return.

Here are some of the books and topics recommended during this time.
Brideshead Revisited by Waugh
Mere Christianity by Lewis
Father Elijah by Michael O’Brien
Be Healed by Bob Schuchts
Intro to Devout Life DeSales
The Abbess of Andalusia by Murray
Old Thunder by Pearce

Blessings, Father John
