Men's Shelter of Charlotte

Men's Shelter of Charlotte

On the second Wednesday of every month St. Mark parishioners prepare, cook and serve dinner to the residents of the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte located at 1210 North Tryon street in Charlotte.  We usually arrive around 4:00 pm to prepare the meal and serve promptly at 6:00 lasting until around 7:30.  The residents cleanup so we can leave right after.  We typically serve around 125 gentlemen.

This is a very satisfying ministry in that you can see the appreciation of your actions immediately;  the gentlemen are very kind and grateful.  No talent is necessary just a willingness to serve and a good attitude!

This ministry is one that you can join at any time, if you can’t arrive at 4:00, we still need help at 6:00!  Recommended for middle school ages (with a parent)  and up.

Our next dates to serve are Wednesday, November 14 and Wednesday, January 9.  (The Knights of Columbus serve in December)
