(1) Our prayer ministry is in full swing. Please join us in praying our corporate prayer that was written specifically for the Working Hands Career Ministry. Once you have registered, you will receive e-mails requesting that you pray for specific individuals (first names only) who are going through career transition at this time. Pray For Us
(2) The Working Hands Career Ministry has over twenty talented, pre-qualified and trained Career Coaches who are looking forward to working with you for up to five sessions. The service is absolutely FREE, thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers. If you would like to meet with a Career Coach, please complete this registrations and then e-mail us at workinghands@stmarknc.org with a copy of your résumé attached. Please indicate your preference of times and three available dates. We will connect you to your Career Coach. People who can benefit from career coaching include those dealing with issues and concerns related to: career choice, career change, self-assessment, unemployment, fear of being laid off, work/life balance, values clarification, job related anxiety, ethical/moral career dilemmas. Our Coaches have specific tools to will help you work through such issues. Get a Career Coach
(3) Many at St. Marks are in a position to hire either full-time or part-time/project based positions (known as Bridging). Bridging work may include short-tem projects, part-time work, odd jobs, internships, consulting, full commission assignments (you only get paid if you generate business) and other types of work. Bridging is typically temporary. There is no promise of permanent work, but in some instances bridging has evolved into full-time employment. We are happy to send your positions out to all registered job seekers as well as publish you role in our bulletin. If you are a parishioner who has job openings, please contact us at workinghands@stmarknc.org. We will need a description of the assignment (up to 150 words) and your contact information. Your positions do not have to be exclusive to St. Mark parishioners. However, we have been approached by many hiring managers who desire to help those in our parish who are seeking work. (4) The Working Hands Ministry is encouraging all parish adults who are interested in networking to the have profile on LinkedIn™ and join the group “Working Hands Ministry – St Marks Catholic Church – Huntersville, NC.” We will be using this professional networking tool to connect parishioners with other members who have similar backgrounds and experience and could be in a position to assist in finding positions.
